High-throughput ranges put constant wear on weapons. Without disciplined inspection, repair, and round-count tracking, maintenance drifts from schedule-based to failure-based, and accountability for each weapon's history erodes.
Our approach
What WBSI delivers
WBSI operates a dedicated weapons maintenance team supporting range operations in Hawaii. We perform limited technical inspections of M4 carbines and pre-fire inspections of M18 pistols in accordance with the applicable technical manuals, complete repairs from diagnosis through test fire, and clean weapons and components to standard. Behind the bench, we built and maintain the comprehensive tracking system that records each weapon's maintenance history: round counts, inspection results, and repair actions, with daily round-count reports and monthly analyses of wear and service-life expectancy delivered to the armory chief.

Typical support
- Limited technical inspections (LTI) of M4 carbines and pre-fire inspections (PFI) of M18 pistols per the applicable technical manuals
- Weapons repair: disassembly, inspection and diagnosis, parts replacement, reassembly, and test fire
- Weapons and component cleaning in accordance with applicable technical manuals
- Repair parts identification and ordering support in accordance with TM 4700-15/1H and MCO 4790.2
- Development and maintenance of a comprehensive weapons maintenance history tracking system covering round counts, inspection results, and repair actions
